This design project is for marine biologist Marvin Low, his wife Laura, and their two daughters, who are currently in elementary school. Their home is a two story bungalow in Impian Saujana, Kajang. Marvin is quite a bold energetic character and is looking for his home to be outstanding.

The Style chosen is INDUSTRIAL x MODERN. Modernist furniture uses thinner framed, angular, forms, and focuses on the functional aspect of the furniture. The Kitchen contrasts these thin proportioned forms with chunky industrial forms on the ceiling. The buildings windows will be replaced with square grilled windows to create a factory like appearance, and enforce the industrial style. Black has been added to create a dark moody and clean atmosphere for this Maverick ‘Bad Boy’ interior.

One of the most outstanding features is an aquarium wall feature, which is in the living area opposite a custom made sofa that sits more than 8 people. Other rooms include naked concrete walls, hickory flooring, and textured brick finishes. A semi-private drawing area has been provided for Laura’s hobbies.
